bartholomew’s roots are snaking across the floor

It’s like the Little Shop of Horrors over here. Nick left Bartholomew when he moved in and back out again in the spring — he thinks this new discovery is “fun,” but I’m starting to wonder what’s going to happen when the roots start winding up the chairs.
Do all your plants have names?

@margonaut Just two of them right now. The other one is Molly Brown (as in The Unsinkable). My kids gave her to me for my birthday. One of them bought her from a catalog and no one thought to open the box, which arrived a week or more before my birthday. By the time I opened it she had lost half her leaves. I thought for sure she was a goner, especially because, despite being an editor of a gardening magazine for five years, I don’t have a green thumb. But after a couple weeks she had gotten six new leaves. That’s probably more than you wanted to know.
