Snapshot of my day:
1. Mels in Chinatown for cinnamon rolls, delicata focaccia (and salted rye chocolate chip cookies for later).
2. Brooklyn flea market in Dumbo and a walk around Brooklyn Bridge Park.
3. Salmon and scallion and cream cheese bagels from Russ and Daughters on the Lower East Side.
4. Pie tasting in Nick and Savannah’s apartment.
5. Walk to the cookbook book store.
6. Sewing on the train for three-and-a-half hours.
7. End the the day eating the rye cookies I bought in the morning while watching the Great British Bake-Off in my jammies. (Referred to in my family as “a full day of fun.”)
awww, I didn't know he was living there. How wonderful that you got to visit. You needed a few carbs to get you through it, didn't you? I totally understand.
