The Cathedral, Arezzo by will_wooderson

The Cathedral, Arezzo

I've just spent a few days in Arezzo, a beautiful hill-top town at about 300 m. It is home to many Renaissance wonders, including recently restored frescos behind the altar in the Church of San Francesco (Saint Francis) by one of Italy's finest Renaissance artists, Piero della Francesca.
looks lovely

I should have added that I took this photo from the terrace of the sixth-floor B&B "Camera Caffé" near the train station. Run by a melancholy old man, it is good value, very clean and - as can be seen - affords a rather fantastic view of the old town.

I love Tuscany and I am jealous of all the amazing pasta that you must be eating. If you get to Cortona be sure to dine at Canta Napoli.

@chriswang Thanks Chris, I'll make sure to try the Canta Napoli! And have you ever tried pappardelle pasta with cinghiale (wild boar) sauce? Lovely and rich...

@will_wooderson Yes I definitely had the wild boar ragu - delicious!
