My sister Laurie loves brown so when it was time to make her a blanket I used "colors commonly found in nature," one of her favorite sayings. I knitted leaves in the corners of all the squares. When put together you could see clusters of leaves throughout. I love the way this one turned out. It was a real stretch for me to use colors I wouldn't normally use.
