Day 8 and the last day of our North Carolina vacay. We packed up and drove into town for breakfast at The Grind on Main Street only to find the historic, renovated Emily Boling Wilson Hotel across the street. We could have stayed there for the same amount of money it cost at our dumpy Hampton Inn. 😩 After touring the grounds and visiting the town’s jewelry store we headed for home.

As we crossed into Ohio we stopped for a visit at the famous Bob Evan’s Farms where we had lunch at the first Bob Evans. A out from home we took a break for coffee and Kate Spade at the Jeffersonville outlets. It was a super fun trip but there’s no place like home. Jack and Pearl were so happy to see us.
