I won this plant at a spring golf tournament. I'm not a gardener, so I fear for it's life, as I have just read that they are hard to grown and tend to drop dead! On the plus side its supposed to have wonderful lemon scented flowers.... but I've also just read that a significant number of people can't smell it at all. I suspect I'm one of them!
hahaha was that good luck or bad luck? the scent of baronia can waft some distance , i have heard that they are hard to grow also, must be very specialised nursery requirements becasue they get them to a good size for sale!
Ah - one of my most favourite scents. As I was mowing the lawn last evening, I caught a whiff of my brown boronia, long before I was anywhere near it. Yes, they are very tricky to grow and I always buy one each year, only to have it flower and die! BUT, last year's one has survived (a first) and is flowering well. I am so sorry if you cannot smell its perfume, as it is gorgeous. A delightful image too!
Oh that is sad that you can not smell it ... they are amazing .. I like to have one in a pot by my back door and I treat it like a bunch of flowers .. it they survive more than the year it is a bonus..
