I Love your conures! Are Magic and Phoenix partners or do you keep them separate? Would you suggest that I get a second sun conure for my conure "Pekoe"? Thanks!
@onarom Magic and Phoenix are both female - we don't have the capacity to handle baby conures (either feeding them, housing them or finding new homes for them) so we got a second girl, rather than a boy companion for Magic. They are flock animals, so having two makes sense, and both seem happier for having a friend (though they're not super-friendly - there's always a good 10cm between them). In terms of noise, cleaning, food prep etc. two is not much different to one, so if you have the space and money, I'd get a friend for Pekoe, but make sure you read up on it - quarantining new birds, introducing them safely etc. There's heaps of info online.
