Daisy by andycoleborn

Daisy

Looks like it's day two of my flower project...! Not really, just being a bit lazy on the old photo front today.

Had a morning meeting in Mile End, so afterwards I thought I'd take a wander through the nearby eco-park. The section set out for wild flowers was awash with daisies, all rather colourful, especially in the glorious sunny weather we're having over here at the moment.

Hoped to spot a butterfly or something a bit more interesting but didn't see any. Although I did read in the paper the other day that numbers of butterflies have reduced hugely the last couple of years... That's a shame...

Thought I'd upload at work during lunch as I'll be busy tonight packing etc... Off to Somerset for the weekend...
I love these ox eye daisies. tried taking some pictures myself but you have taken the biscuit ( so to speak) with this one. Just look at that waxiness on the petals and the individual parts of the centre! Great photo Andy. Enjoy your weekend..

Thanks Cherril - I knew they weren't the usual run of the mill daisy, but didn't know the correct name... thanks again :-)

Nice one. I am glad you included the daisy in the back I think it lends to the interest of the photo. The detail is just amazing. I am enjoying your flower project. :)

Hmmm...I thought I left you a message earlier... perhaps I did with your "Artist" picture... Daisies seem to be the flower-of-the-day on 365... maybe I'll jump on the bandwagon...
