Took this photo at Green Park in central London this afternoon after attending an awards show in Holborn.
Decided to walk through Covent Garden, Picadily Circus, past Eros and the Ritz and stop off at the park for an hour or so. Lots of people about, enjoying the weather and turning lobster.
I wasn't dressed for the sun so after sweating for a bit, I jumped on the tube and headed home.
Went swimming again this evening and a little sauna before a late night shop to stock up on BBQ goodies for the weekend. Went for a walk around the docks in Beckton about 11:30pm which was nice.
Please, Andy, you need to explain this picture. Are the chairs put out for anyone to use, or are the owners of the chairs all swimming, or doing something else? Or do you come to the park and pay a rental? The fact that they are all the same style leads me to believe that they are all part of something...? This is mysterious :)
LOL... nohing untoward.. It was 3:30ish so most people were still at work. Those thst were out were mainly sat in the shade as it was just tooo hot. The chairs can be hired for an hour/ half-day/full day but really, who wants to when you can spread out a blanket and sit on the grass??
Oh, I love seeing what goes on in other cities on a work day. We have a little grassy place across the street from the Willis (Sears) Tower that has many Adirondack chairs spread about where folks can chill out throughout the day. They don't charge any money for them...it's just first come-first serve. The danger is that if you find one...you may get so comfortable that you fall asleep and forget to go back to work. Not sayin' this has happened to me....just sayin'. :-)
