Lovely lazy Sunday which ended in a walk around Valentine's Park in Ilford this evening. Meant missing Top Gear but never mind, I'll watch a repeat later in the week.
I'd never actually been to the park before so was surprised how nice it was. This was taken across the boating lake just as the sun was beginning to set. Very romantic but hey, it is Valentine's Park and yep, there was lots of couples and young families out enjoying the wonderful weather.
My girlfriend picked up a copy of Levi Root's Caribbean Cooking Book this week, so I made a chicken and rice dish for dinner and it was delish..... even if I say so myself...
Boo... back to work tomorrow but thankfully it's only 4 days then I'm off on holiday.... Yay.....
Having spent the 1st 20 years of my life in Gants Hill, I pretty much lived in Valentines Park as a child. Brought back memories and I really must go and revisit, thanks Andy.
wonderful - used to walk home from school through Valentines Park and go swimming in the open-air swimming pool!! wonder if that's still there? must investigate :)
