I was down in Hampshire this weekend, combining Pompey's first home game of the season with visiting Mum and checking on Dad's progress.
I had stopped on the way down to snap Guildford Cathedral but wasn't happy with my few snaps as 1) it was cloudy and miserable and 2) there was a wedding about to start so lots of people milling about spoiling the shot.
When I got to footie, I was chatting to my mate about his wife's progress on the 365 project - He told me he suggested Guildford Cathedral and of course, I'd taken it earlier that day... So felt a little guilty anbout spoiling their idea so after the game and a visit to Dad, I drove down to Hill Head just in time to catch the sun setting.
As for Dad, he's progressing very well and is now in QA in Portsmouth - he's actually in the new part of the hospital, in his own room with fantastic views across the city, the Solent and the Isle of Wight... Honestly.. it's better than any hotel view!
Very nice shot Andy, the sky is beautiful - dont mind that you spoilt our idea of Guildford Cathedral, cant believe my luck though! I was going to photo straw bales, but you did it earlier. I have to get an imagination!
