The weather in the UK has been glorious of late, and incredibly for a Bank Holiday weekend, it's all set to continue.
Today was in the mid to high 70s.. Just about perfect as it wasn't too hot to be unbearable but warm enough to feel good.
I had the day to myself so I jumped in the car and drove to Southend-on-Sea, parked up and enjoyed the day. I didn't dip my toe although plenty did nor was I sunbathing like many of the people here.. I just walked around, grabbing a vacant bench or spot on the sea wall..
Have ended up with a good tan and classic t-shirt arms..!!
Drove back via Leigh-on-Sea, a working fishing village and bought a half-pint of cockles, caught this morning, dashed them in vinager and black pepper and scoffed down by the dock. Delish...
Only downside today.... A £35 parking ticket... :-(
Ha! The weather is amazing and Southend could be Brighton could be any coastline in the UK right now. Great capture Andy ... and let's hope we continue with the good weather!
dont miss those crowded beach days, in fact i would probably feel frezzing if i was there, now im used to oz!!, gutted for you about your parking ticket.......ouchie!! nice shot btw.
