Tennis fans settle down at the Wharf for a bit of early evening Wimbledon and to watch our Scottish friend, Mr Murray, win through to the semi-finals..
Happened to catch one young lady scratching her backside... lol
And guess what... the beloved Canary Wharf security approached me and told me photographing isn't allowed at the Wharf.. Not the usual para-military type today, but an under-cover jobbie...
I did have one question for him.. Tomorrow night at the Wharf is a triathlon... I asked whether he and his cohorts would be running around stopping people taking photos.. He didn't have an answer...
You do spot them Andy. I have a question, I presume they are like this because of the IRA bombings and we need to be alert because of it, but do they stop tourists as well from taking photographs??
DANG! That's a full on scratch...This is my biggest fear - getting caught pulling the panties out of the crack. Thanks for making me face my fears...:) Great capture!
Great picture bet she would be well pleased if she could only see what we can all see ..lol.... & God are those pillocks still telling people to stop taking photos ... Never knew we lived in a state run by secret private policemen .. tell um to P@!! O&& from me next time Andy ..LOL...
If you've got an itch... Nice shot, glad to see Murray move on, interesting who's dropping and who's staying this year. And those Canary Wharf dudes are still after you? You would think they would give it up. Most people cary cameras so small at this point that they are difficult to see, can it really be worth it to keep giving people a hard time?
thanks guys... @andifree haha.. glad you clarified :-) @shantwin@cookie123@hcochrane it's so over the top... I think it's like the emporer's new clothes, the police and security have convinced themselves that everyone's a threat... or maybe it's a state sponsored attempt to make us all scared and in constant fear of attack..?!?!
Funny enough, tourists don't tend to be stopped, just the solo photographer I've noticed..
Great caption. First I think the security at the Canary Wharf are trying to protect their jobs by showing the possible hazards of law breaking amateur photographers. What would they do if you didn't show up! Second since not photography is not allowed in this complex, the woman felt very comfortable scratching without being noticed. They are wrong on both accounts! Love your shots Andy!!
