Went to the first of my four events at the London 2012 Olympics today.. the men's Quarter-Final football at Wembley between Mexico and Senegal..
Was good - but strange being at a game with 82,000 other people where apart from a few thousand Mexicans and a handful of Senegalise, no one really cared who won... As it was, it was a decent game which Meixco won 4-2 after extra time...
The real fun was in the evenng tho, as once home it was a case of settling down in front of the box watching GB wipe the floor in the athletics winning gold in the women's heptathlon, men's long jump and men's 10,000 metres... top, top night.!
@andycoleborn Bet it was brilliant! We've been watching it all on tele and I came so close to buying some odd tickets today... then found out only £450 ones were left :( I'll keep looking!!
@maggiemae haha sorry - this is St Pancras railway station :-)... Just getting into the spirit tho and something for Europeans to see when they catch the train in from Paris :-)..
