Yet another Christmas party tonight - but this one was a more sedate section lunch after work... We went to Jimmy's World of Food at the O2. It's an American style buffet restaurant which serves food from across the world and you can keep going up as many times as you want..
Lets just say we were all stuffed at the end of the night.. Took this as I changed trains at Canary Wharf, going for alittle walk to let the food go down a bt..
3 more days and I'll complete 25 years service and will get a £300 long service payment (which is in fact £1 for every month worked.! WOW!!!)... Not sure whether to go for a new lens for my DSLR or a four-thirds camera... Decisions decisions.....
Just a perfect reflection shot. Congratulations on your 25 years!
My advice, stay with the Canons and the Nikons. These 4/3 stuff look great, but for us general purpose amateurs, I really would not. Lenses are always what make stuff. Go with the new lens every time! A good lens with an "average" camera body will get you results that you will appreciate. Now you have to select the lens properly, and that can be a difficult decision. Good luck as you spend the largess!
@frankhymus Yeah I know what you mean Frank and whilst I have a 50mm prime, it's manual only which is a pain and I might go for the 50mm auto focus lens - but equally, it is a pain having to lug about a DSLR every day and a smaller camera could come in handy when I want to go light (so to speak...)
great reflections and lights. I'd go for the lens every time mate...my 4/3rds hasn't seen the light of day since I got the DSLR...quality is OK, but the lenses aren't as effective as the DSLR, it may be better to invest in a better quality P&S just as a thought. If you want you can borrow my 4/3 in the New Year and see what you think...
