Under the cuckoo spit

Not sure how internationally know cuckoo spit is but I learned something the other day that it is secreted by the immature stages of sap-sucking insects known as froghoppers, presumably as a means of protecting themselves against predators. This is what I found inside.
wow, nature never ceases to amaze and totally make you go 'no way'!
this is a fav and I'm never going to forget this one :)

Great close up. I remember cuckoo spit from when we lived in the UK, but I have never seen it in Australia.
