Baby boomer on board

I'm really loving this lens. Again, this is from my back deck. It's really dry, we need rain badly. The roos are coming up looking for water and green grass.

Top Twenty #14
Instant "aaaaw" and fav. Just love the rather large joey poking out, I bet his mom cannot wait to get rid of that load! Superb shot.

@peterlgrave Thanks Peter! It's the Tamron 150-600mm, same one I used for yesterday's birds. This shot is at the 600mm end.

Jo
Wow, that is a brilliant capture. Hope you get that rain soon.
October 14th, 2014
@lyndemc Aww thanks Denise! Our neighbour leaves water out for them that automatically fills and we water out past our fence to grow a little grass.

@frankhymus Maybe you will have to treat yourself Frank :)
October 14th, 2014
Wow..wonderful shot. fav.
October 14th, 2014
What a great lens, 600mm is a whopper. Very sharp as well. I have been trying for a shot like this for a while. But our Roos here are timid and my 300mm isn't long enough to get a shot like this.
October 14th, 2014
This is just beyond amazing! Love the joey sticking out of his mom's pocket. Fav! :)
October 14th, 2014
@karlow75 Thanks Kane, ours are pretty timid too but I think she was too thirsty to care.

October 14th, 2014

October 14th, 2014
So, so cute! And what a sharp lens - you've scored with that one. You're too dry over there and we've had rain for the last few months. I think it was the coldest and wettest summer we've had in a long time. Now they are calling for a repeat of what we encountered last winter - very cold and lots of snow. I really need to move!
October 14th, 2014
Awesome image, love your title.

@shepherdmanswife how could that be Chantal, lol. You just didn't look in the right places ;) the thing is they are normally more active from dusk to dawn. and it is impossible and very lucky if you don't see some travelling in the country at this time. Maybe you need a return visit? If you didn't go to Kakadu then you should put that on your list :)
