Fiddles at the session

Some nice fiddling at the Saturday evening session at the Sandlings Sessions.

Slept not too badly but still restless. And loads of ridiculous pillows as usual on the bed which we jettisoned. Woke up to find we had a fantastic view from the kitchen over the river and marshes.

Took some pics and saw lots of birds - and a martin came right up to the balcony and looked at me whereby I squealed rather excitedly. Breakfast was Anna's smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and lots of toast.

Walking over to the Hoffmann Building for the day's workshops, I found out the a dance later on in the spring with La Chavannee was sold out - very cross as I've already booked accommodation.

Had workshops all day - morning's were Rob Harbron and Sam Sweeney doing 3/2 hornpipes and Boldwood playing for dancing. Lunch in the cafe of curried parsnip soup.

Mooched around the big house and garden shop and the ladies boutique before getting to Anna and Dave's dance workshop in the afternoon. Got some sandwiches to take away from the Granary Tea room for supper later.

Last workshop was with Miranda Rutter doing pulse and groove - very good - always ann excellent teacher. Followed by a session in the bar area - very mixed with people coming and going - some French/Scandi with a bit of English.

Ate my sandwich and Dave went back to the flat to rest. He was back at 7 and we went in to the concert. This was mainly good but was very tired and I kept falling asleep. Young Uns were on first as they had to go early, then there was Rutter, Harbron, Sweeney doing some gorgeous tunes. A rather dull pub folk band followed them then it was Spiers and Knight. Good but I was very sleepy by this time.

Back to the flat for more nibbles and giggles trying to sell R my tune names.
