A mural for our current times by French street artist Zabou - part of the array of street art that went up for the first London Mural Festival.
Met Hilary for a cycle ride to some of these around Tottenham that I'd been wanting to visit. A lovely day for it - clear and bright mainly if a bit chilly.
Went up via the towpath initially - not been on Tottenham Marshes much - look interesting - wending our way to a little cluster of murals in the Tottenham area. This one, plus a gorgeous floral kingfisher by Curtis Hylton and Duality by Dreph near Tottenham Hale.
We kept bumping into another woman stalking the murals of North London which was entertaining and she kindly pointed us in the direction of another Zabou just off Tottenham High Road.
A lot of cycling on quite busy roads - I was quite proud of my ability. We ended up in the village - which was absolutely mobbed with yummy mummies, hipsters and bearded folk enjoying the takeaway street food. We grabbed something from the halloumi pitta van and ate in the square.
I took the opportunity of acquiring some nice cheeses from Froth and Rind as well as some almond cake from the Spanish deli to take home for Dave. We had this with some white port when I got back in.
