A family walk where husband wanted to climb the hill and son and I went round. The path disappeared into sheep trails so we headed over dried bracken and bits of bog. As we descended a slope I saw lots of purple and these wild orchids were nestled with a carpet of primroses; small wild garlic plants were under a nearby tree, and it was a delightful find. I did tease my son that if we were lost ate least we could have garlic for tea... though I did share a Kit Kat that I had saved from lunch! We found our way down the hillside only 10 minutes after my husband. It was a bit optimistic to have claimed the car key to get back first, as I cannot help take photos, even if off the map.
