Today I nipped across the old Severn bridge into Wales and up on to Tintern, just because I had a compulsion to be close to a good river (maybe been watching too much of "Gone Fishing"), and the Wye is one of my favourites. In many ways, an emotional trip because Ange and I used to come here often and have holidayed nearby, so it wasn't easy to come here alone for the first time. But it was quiet and peaceful and (unexpected) fine weather, so good just to spend an hour or so walking and "fishing" for photos and being in nature.

'. . . and again I hear
These waters, rolling from their mountain-springs
With a soft inland murmur . . .'
