Texture and Pattern- Day 6

Day 6 of the "Flash of Red" challenge- Black and white photography for the month of February with a flash of red on February 14. The theme for days 4-10 is "Texture and Pattern." I saw this tree at Heritage Park in Plantation, Florida- lots of texture to go with this week's theme.
Fantastic and interesting textures. I presume those are vines growing over and around the main tree trunk.

This is the kind of texture shot you really want to be able to touch- although if that's poison ivy when the leaves are on it, I guess we'd best leave it alone! Great shot.

@mwerner @observingkimmie @lsquared @olivetreeann Thank you all so much for your comments and the Fav. I am so excited to see that my photo made it onto the New Faces and Popular pages! I appreciate all your kind words and encouragement. I believe that is a strangler fig vine that has grown around the trunk of the original tree.
