Day 27 of the "Flash of Red" challenge- Black and white photography for the month of February with a flash of red on February 14. The theme for days 25-28 is "Contrast." The first floral of my project. To create a white contrasting background, I took two sheets of white paper, poked a very small hole in the center, and put the stem down through the hole. I was then able to set the paper and the flower flat on our patio table with the stem going through the metal grillwork of the table top and hanging below the table. This allowed me to shoot straight down on the flower without the stem and leaves in the way. Shot in what natural sunlight is available today. I love how participating in the 365 project encourages me to think creatively.
