Đurđice... This is Croation word for those lovely flowers... It is female version of the name Juraj, or George. Since today is St George day, and since they are probably and obviously named after St George because they bloom in this time of year, I am posting this simple photo of gorgeous little flowers. They grow in my garden, and they are already fragrant... I am enjoying them a lot so I will probably post some more of them.
My favourite flower which I carried in my wedding bouquet and my grandson's name is George too what a coincidence. We call them lily of the valley and it is too early for them to be out here .Fav.
A fav for me! They are my birth flower and the green shoots have just started coming up in my garden. They are also called Lily of the Valley in the U. S. too. I love them and always look forward to the appearance of those little white bells.
I love these. We used to have them in our garden when I was a little girl. Seeing the photo I can still remember their lovely fragrance. Beautiful photo.
