Ashness Bridge by cmp

Ashness Bridge

This is a typical pack horse bridge located in a hanging valley - Watendlath - in the Lake District. In the background is Derwent Water (although the trees obscure the view a bit!) You can also see the fells behind.
Beautiful shot, view and composition. I spent three beautiful and memorable days at the Lake District a few years ago. Wouldn't mind going there again.

I know that bridge - and you hae captured it with no folk or cars on it - well done - have walked those fells in the background - always a delight

Fabulous old bridge. I used to visit the Lake District with Mum when I was a child. It always rained.
