Actually your shot is taken in " the east" looking west, so the wall was behind it...

I was one of the first people from the West who broke through the Wall in front of the Brandenburg Gate on a rainy day in December and suddenly found myself between the majestic pillars. I always love to come back. Find it so emotional here.

Du kennst offenbar Berlin sehr gut. Ich habe diese Stadt erst nach dem Mauerfall besucht - vor etwa 10 Jahren. Drei Tage lang hielt ich mich dort auf.
