Oh Amanda , I just read your profile....I am so very sorry for your loss. I can only imagine the grief you are living with. I've only been here a couple if months, but I've grown to love this community---so many kind, supportive, and talented folks here. I hope you continue to shoot, and that it provides not only an outlet for your grief, but peace as well. Warm hugs Amanda, and kind thoughts.
superb Amanda. So pretty and lovely detail.
Your story stung my eyes. Thank god you got the camera so that part of your healing was through something he loved and through seeing the extreme and detailed beauty of this world. 365 reminds me every day how lucky we are and what great people there are out there - so supportive and encouraging. All the best.
Thanks Miranda.
I have really only 365'd for the past month as the other shots are just uploads from when I think I took the pics ... and I wish I'd started doing it earlier as I do find it to be a good diversion for me.
This is beautiful; yes, I think it's got to be my favourite, too. Thanks for advising me of the change in nomenclature for this flower; hadn't caught up with that, obviously. Now that you're following me you can correct me when I misname things! I try to get it right but as you can see am a bit out of date sometimes. Or sometimes just plain wrong! Will have to go back and rename all the ficifolias I've posted (one more today before I saw your comment.)
@girlie hehe Robin - I usually don't correct because it's usually me out of date... and my typing is atrocious.
But Corymbia ficifolia is my very favourite plant and I've adopted it's name as a nickname on my blog for the past few years.
I am loving all your shots of Aussie flora- especially the Eleaocarpus reticulata one - stunning.
