This silo was painted as a soda can for many years - first Coke and later 7-Up. A couple of years ago, a manufacturer of quartz countertops paid the landowner to repaint what was a very shabby looking barn and silo. This was a huge improvement, but touched off a legal battle with the state because of the advertisement's proximity to the highway. Not sure what the outcome will be, but to my eye, this is better than how it looked before.
