Beautiful close up! These are so good sliced, dipped in egg & flour then fried.. Yum.. The okra flowers are real pretty too.

I always think they look nicer than they taste- they have the essence of slime about them whenever I cook them. Oh dear! i never knew they were hairy before. Lovely and sharp.

I like okra. It's really good for you. I cook it with potatoes, tomato sauce and onions...and some Indian spices...it's very delicious...but you have to make sure you cook it long enough to get rid of the slimmy inside.

Wonderfully detailed shot. I've never tried it either but my mom is from down south and she said they had it all the time when she was a kid.
