I planted a new garden in a tricky spot where I'd been having difficulty with invasive creeping weeds. Tried out several new perennials - some ground covers and some taller, bushy herbs. The ice plants not only survived the winter well, they thrived and choked out the weeds in their area. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts at spacing, the creeping thyme didn't stand a chance against it, either.
@olivetreeann As soon as the area around it is fully weeded I will post a full size picture. Maybe I'll wait until it has bloomed - odd to see aster-like flowers with these leaves. Having reached into it barehanded on a damp 60* day to pull out weed seedlings, I can attest that it feels a little like gummy candy without the stickiness.
