As I strolled along the coast from Mgarr Harbour towards the Red Shore, I came across three of these stone pillars. The stacks were to the left on the rocky part of a tiny sandy beach reached by a flight of stairs from the path I was on. Environmentalists are not too keen about these acts of balance.
Nice look at this cairn. I am fascinated when I find them. But I understand that there are places they shouldn't be built, such as in stream beds, because they change the environment in those places. I would guess this is a perfectly fine place for one.
