Sun-kissed skin so hot, we'll melt your popsicle...
Happy July 4th!
Ten years ago today, my husband (who was just a friend) and I hung out. I went to his place for a BBQ. Turns out, I was the only one invited. My boyfriend at the time, had headed out to Long Island to be with his buddies from home. I hadn't been invited. But I was/am a modern-day kind of gal. I didn't fret. Made my own plans.
I went to my friend's (now husband) apartment, grilling out at his place because most people we knew had left NYC for the long weekend. Nothing inappropriate happened but I remember him asking me, "So are you gonna marry this guy or what?"
I shrugged. He said, "So that's a no." And then chuckled.
In retrospect...maybe ten years ago today, that marked the beginning of us. Ten years ago I was 26. I was fitter then. Ten years from now, my body may not look like this. Who knows what's in store next!
Anyway, have a good one. Get some sun, get your grill on, get your tan on. And Happy 4th of July!
That's a great story, T. Glad your hubby was smart enough to make sure it all worked out for the two of you. :D
And great shot, of course! I suspect you will look much the same in ten years, because you won't just stop caring about how you look.
You should write! Love the way you tell your stories. And shot with a Canon S80, the camera is about your "anniversary" date too. Very nice photo, great crop and tones. And I think a 20yo would be proud to look like that! :-)
T you do know how to tell a good story that makes it feel like youre talking to just one person. Nice pic too ;) have a great 4th! Just came in from sunning poolside now for some drinks!
@fauxtography365 - Yes found a nice tiki bar across from the beach and then jumped into the ocean and chilled in hot tub. Then sushi and more drinks. Very rough here. Did I mention all the girls wear bikinis?
And great shot, of course! I suspect you will look much the same in ten years, because you won't just stop caring about how you look.
And as to the photo, please allow me to be the first to say, "Hubba."
@anzere03 ha. I didn't think about the date being a good way to 'mark' an anniversary like that. And thanks for the comment on the pic. :)
@michaelelliott thanks, Michael! Hope you're still enjoying FL.
@suesmith @tonydebont thank you guys!
@islandk8 thanks, Katie!
