Trying to catch up after a few weary days...
Alas this wasn't needed this year..! Over the years I attended a few Burns Nights with friends and took great pleasure in wearing this soft tartan shawl with my jewellery. No haggis and no scotch this year, but at least I had a drink and a moment of poetry in the warmth of home after a long sad cold day.
Thank you so much for your generous comments, and taking the time to view my fieldfare shot and any shots I've posted this week... you're all wonderful - mwah.
Lovely shot. Sorry you weren’t able to celebrate, although missing out on haggis would seem to be a good thing! Your words sound a bit sad. I hope you’re ok.
@tishpics Hi Trish... thank you, I love them. The earrings are amber, the brooch is just yellow glass I think. My out-laws bought me the brooch so it may well have been from Scotland (it came in a tartan box but that's all I can remember) !

Aw thank you ladies - you are kind. Sorry you picked up my underlying mood... Yes I'm fine, just had more than my fair share of garbage to deal with this week and it finished with a long drive to a sad funeral and left me worn out on every front. I've had time to relax and recharge the batteries ready for whatever joys next week throws at me! Thank you... have a great week ahead :) x
Nice shot! Lovely shawl and jewelry! Why didn't you do that this year? It sounds like fun. Well done on the photo. ... and why sad? I hope you are okay.
