After a manic day on Saturday and crashing out with case packed, at last the alarm went off for our trip to Barcelona! Everything went to plan and soon we had taken off from our green and pleasant land into the dappled blue skies above France. (Viewed through a grubby window, ah well). Even at my tender age, after many flights, the thrill of take-off and soaring up high puts butterflies in my tummy! (I understand the theory of flight and know it's true but can't quite reconcile how so many ton of metal stay up there so long...!)
