Here's a scene I loved from the recent trip to Kentwell Hall in Suffolk... they hand-spun their own wool from their own sheep and dyed it with natural dyes then simply hung it out to dry! Didn't it look pretty among the trees? Not sure I liked their food or toilet arrangements but part of me would have loved to stay there and join in with a simpler life for a week... :)
Thank you for bearing with me while I catch up after a horribly busy week - and thank you for calling by for a closer look!
What lovely colors. Nice shot, Phil! Great angle and such pretty colors! It looks like it's in the middle of nowhere; like some ancient village did it. Good job :)
Oh my goodness! This takes me back. After I left art college I worked for two years in a spinners and weavers. I spun wool from the fleece, dyed it and made hand knitted jumpers. This shot makes me feel incredibly nostalgic. @purplehaze12 It depends on the wool that's used. Different sheep produce different types of wool. The best, softest is from merino sheep but if you want supersoft you need alpaca wool xx
