My get-pushed challenge from Nancy was to take a photo of Bedford that summed up what it was like... well I'm afraid Bedford isn't the loveliest town I've ever lived in, and even when I asked the kids for inspiration, the best idea they had was to take a shot of a rubbish bin! We went into town at night to see 'The Hobbit' and stopped by the river where the lights were looking pretty - this bridge is lovely by daylight and I was quite taken with how it looked at night. So I guess it goes to show that everywhere has its nicer side and every town does its best to look good.
Gosh almighty, you still here reading all this? Thanks so much, and thanks for calling by to view / comment on any of my recent shots - you're smashing!! :)
@nkawoods Here's one shot - got another to upload later. I'm starting to realise Bedford perhaps looks best in the dark when you don't see as much!! haha!
I love your comments regarding Bedford looking better in the dark :o) I feel the same about our town. You've certainly brought out the best in this shot. I like the high contrast and B&W xx
Oh, Phil, I love this shot. Black and white is perfect for the bridge; the composition is excellent. Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, more going on than I would like that is keeping me from photography as evidenced my the many gaps in my December photos. But I can get some today so I will get my response to your challenge posted soon.
