These apparently famous works of art were made in 1978 by Liz Leyh... they were once cynically said to symbolise a new town made entirely of concrete. Well I don't know about that, but they certainly looked a little surprised to be in the middle of the shopping centre. (They are on loan).
In other news, behind me was Peter Andre doing numerous selfies with squealing fans. Poor Peter, I chose this over a shot of his suntanned gloriousness......!!
You are so marvellous to call by and even marvellouser to find something nice to say - thank you :)
@pixiemac I remember at the meet-up someone mentioned the concrete cows.. so I took a shot today when we were trogging around the shops! (They are at Midsummer Place). I have passed them umpteen times without realising....!
Ah! the shopping centre cows..... @padlock the field based ones are in parkland next to the H3 Monks Way near Stacey Bushes. Phil an instant fav from me, as they always make me smile!
I hadn't realised they are so unrealistic! Like a child's drawing. Poor Peter - I would have taken the cow too - what a strange existence though he seems to handle himself better than his ex wife.
What a great find, Phil! I am not sure who Peter Andre is so I probably would have gone for concrete cows, too! It looks a bit surprised by its expression! Nice job :)
