We are fortunate to live near several areas of open space, and I took a walk before lunch, before the forecast rain arrives. A walk of about 2 miles took me onto Clifton Ings, and then through the Homestead Park, before returning through part of the site of the former Clifton Hospital.
A wide variety of different tree species give an extraordinary range of autumn colour, so the camera was kept busy! My eye was particularly drawn to the vivid leaves of a tree close to the pond. I've no idea what type of tree this is, but the colours speak for themselves.
Thank you all for your very kind comments, they are much appreciated, and an extra thank you to Ferry for identifying what kind of tree these leaves came from.
I'm glad you all share my love of the bright colours of autumn, although so much of autumn here actually turns grey and gloomy!
