This art installation around the Tower of London appeared in our project when it was just beginning back in August ( http://365project.org/fishers/365/2014-08-09). This shot is how it appears now, with nearly the full 888,246 poppies each representing one British life that was lost during WW1.
This shot was taken by Louise and her daughter Evelyn (who is two and three-quarters!) and was looking at the poppies through this gap in the wall, rather than over the top as an adult would do.
Louise said: 'Amazing to think all these poppies represent a person, and even more amazing to think that this scene could be replicated all over the world time and again for all those who gave their lives. It really puts things into perspective!'
A beautiful capture (and framing) of this great beautiful castle. A great tribute of all those brave man that lost there life`s in WW1. My compliments to Louise and her daughter Evelyn for taken this beautiful pic.
Many thanks for you comments and congrats to my 1.500. pic. Appreciate it very much
