Trinity Leeds Shopping Centre

Trinity Leeds is a shopping and leisure centre, named after the adjacent 18th-century Holy Trinity Church. The shopping centre is located in the heart of Leeds. It opened on 21 March 2013, with over 130,000 recorded visitors on opening day.

The development is in two parts: Trinity East, a new build development on the site of the former Trinity and Burton Arcades, and Trinity West, the redeveloped Leeds Shopping Plaza.

The combined scheme has 93,000 m2 (1,000,000 sq ft) of retail floor space for 120 stores anchored by the flagship Marks & Spencer and Topshop/Topman stores. These units had existed previously as standalone stores and have been expanded and remodelled into Trinity Leeds.

I was amazed to explore this centre - the access routes gives little clue to the scale of the development. This shot shows the new build part of the centre (Trinity East) and the three levels of shops can be seen.

Great retail shopping mall shot, Ian. Great information, as always, nice place to visit (keep wallet in pocket!)

Impressive capture of the interior and roof-line of that shopping mall. The curves of that light dome are exquisite.

Beautiful capture of the interior. I guess all the great brands have a shop in there. I have to say that shopping malls are not the least attractive to me as I hate shopping.

Thank you all for your nice comments and favs, they are appreciated!

I confess that I am not a great fan of large shopping centres like this, but it was better than being outside in the rain. In fact I'm not a great fan of going shopping at all - I'm a great believer in online shopping where possible. My wallet did escape from this centre unscathed!
