Today's autumn shot is taken on the outskirts of Rotherham in a new area of woodland. It is situated in the land belonging to Dearne Valley College, and until a few years ago this land was just scrub vegetation. A public footpath ran along the edge of this land, but when the forest was planted a network of paths through the woodland were created. Trees, mainly silver birch, are now quite well established and it is a beautiful place to walk in the low sunlight of late afternoon.
They did a great job with planting all these trees for the people to enjoy. Love the golden colours of the light and the fallen leaves. Beautiful capture.
Thank you all for your generous comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
The Dearne Valley College has good environmental credentials - not only have they provided a lovely area of woodland here, but earlier this year they had two wind turbines installed to provide power for the site.
Funnily enough we will soon be producing calendars - I've bought them and they have room to slot in 7x5 prints. They tend to be family photos that we include, for other members of the family.
Ina send you a big thanks.

Thank you Raymond - it has become a beautiful area as the trees have grown.
