The Wish Dragon by fishers

The Wish Dragon

In the grounds around the Moors Centre at Danby, there are a number of features of particular interest to children. In Crow Wood there is a collection of miniature models of houses where the Woodling folk live.

More recently, on the grassland south of the Moors Centre, this 5 metre long dragon appeared.

From the shop in the Moors Centre there is a childrens book available to tell the story of how the dragon came to make its home at the Moors Centre and the his interaction with the tiny Woodling folk living in Crow Wood. It's a fascinating story!

Shortly before I got to the wish dragon he was being used as a climbing frame by a small group of children - it is indeed very popular with children!
