Friday found me on another Moorsbus trip to the North York Moors, and this time it was for a walk alomg Farndale, from Little Blakey to Hutton le Hole.
The walk started along a steep quiet lane known as Blakey Bank, before it changes name to Long Lane. The views along these lanes are lovely, and it is hard to know which one to share with you, but I eventually settled on this shot which is looking west-south-west across Farndale towards Rudland Rigg.
In the valley bottom is the hamlet of Church Houses, the first calling point of my walk. Church houses is the northern end of what the national park promotes as the 'Daffodil Walk', a path close to the River Dove which in the spring is lined with huge numbers of wild daffodils, and which attracts huge numbers of visitors.
On Friday I had the walk to myself. I saw and spoke to another photographer at Little Blakey, and then didn't see another walker until I was almost at the end of the walk. It was a lovely peaceful place to enjoy a period of tranquility.
Thank you for your lovely comments and favs. Ian appreciated them all - he looked before going to see his mum for a few days. She has her regular eye appointment at the hospital. I'll be posting on Ian's behalf.
