Last month I posted a shot of Monket House and Monket Bank in Farndale taken during a walk along the valley ( http://365project.org/fishers/365/2019-09-16 ). Today I'm posting another shot taken from Blakey Ridge while riding the Moorsbus last weekend, over the moor tops into Eskdale. It was the final weekend of Moorsbus services for 2019, and we were favoured by some lovely weather on the Saturday, giving us impressive views on our journey.
Monket Bank, the track up onto the moor top is clearly visible as it makes its way up the valley side to join the ancient route of Rudland Rigg. The old quarry workings are highlighted by the sunlight and you can seen that they were quite extensive.
In the distance, on the right of the shot, the Bilsdale TV transmitter is visible.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
Over the years I've walked over much of the landscape in this shot. To me it is a very special landscape that I love a lot. If this shot has helped you see a little of what I've enjoyed, then I am very pleased.
