Not the nearest way to the Homestead Park, but certainly the most interesting.
This very rural looking path runs close to the side of the main A19 road from the north into York. It was once a surfaced drive linking Clifton Park Hospital to a neighbouring facility, but since much of the hospital closed, leaving only a secure unit, nature has taken over, with this pleasant tree framed walkway being the result.
Particularly since the lockdown and much reduced traffic on the main road it has become a very quiet walk.

Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
To two of my grandchildren this is the 'secret path' since the entrance to it at the south end is becoming a bit overgrown.
