Back at the end of May I shared a shot of the umbrellas above Coppergate Walk, York, shortly before lockdown restructions began to be relaxed and shops started to reopen ( http://365project.org/fishers/365/2020-05-28 ).
Many of the shops have now reopened and shoppers and visitors are beginning to return. This shot shows the latest new umbrella display with its 'We Love York' message. I'm not sure how long this display will be on display - last year the display was changed each month. They do form an attractive display and raise a smile as people see them.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
I do enjoy seeing the various umbrella displays - there have been some very crative ones in the past. I didn't see anywhere that sold this umbrella design, but I do think it would be a good publicity tool for the city.
I love the umbrellas, so colorful. Also I'm from York but unfortunately I didn't love it as much as these umbrellas show, so I had to move lol. But big fav for this shot 🙂
@fishers aww nice.. I'm in teesside. Got a nice little flat and lots of pets. I'll be going back to volunteering with horses soon hopefully but don't think they're quite ready for lots of extra people after this whole pandemic thing. What you studying just out of interest 🙂
I studied geography, but that's over forty years ago. I ended up working at Rowntrees (later Nestle). I'm not sure any of us are ready for lots of people yet. It's amazing how we have got used to solitude.

Thank you both, these unbrellas do add some nice colour to the city centre.

Thank you Chantelle. I did the opposite to you, moving to York as a student and staying here. Where are you now?

Thank you William - I think these are great fun.
