There were quite a few grey squirrels on Clifton Ings during my walk. I quite liked this shot of a squirrel with a nut. It reminded me of our youngest grandaughter Tali. She recently started at a forest nursery, so much of what they do is outdoors.
On Monday they had a walk in the woods to collect nuts, although they were warned that there might not be many left since the squirrels and other creatures might have collected a lot of them. Fortunately they managed to find quite a few of them.
On Tuesday evening I sent this photo for Lucy to show to Tali, but what I didn't know was that earlier in the day they had been having a conversation about squirrels, with Lucy explaining that squirrels collect nuts and then dig holes to hide them for later use. Tali as usual had a question - "but they don't have hands. How do they use a spade?" I love the wisdom of 2 year olds!
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
Tali's nursery sounds wonderful. Lucy sent me a screen print of one of the messages from the nursery at the end of each day, and the range of activities during the day was really impressive. I felt tired just reading it!
I loved Tali's logic as well. The logic was good, she is just a bit short of life experience, but that only comes with age.

Tali is very intelligent
(On most of the dikes you are allowed to have a walk. So, you`re very welcome.)
This is a super clear capture of this little chap enjoying a snack, fav.

Thank you - Tali had certainly been thinking!
