Another Legoland shot from Lucy, this time from Miniland where there are an array of models of famous buildings from around the world.
Once again the display constantly evolves and usually there is something to reflect current events. This scene marks the work done by the NHS (National Health Service) during the Covid-19 pandemic. During the first lockdown a year ago many children painted rainbows which were displayed in the windows of their homes. People regularly stood at their doors at 8pm on Thursdays and clapped for the NHS.
Then there was Captain Tom, who set out to walk 100 laps of his garden as he approached his 100th birthday, and who became an inspiration for many, raising almost £40 million for NHS charities. He can be seen on top of the rainbow in this model.
Terrific image and a great tribute to NHS. Health workers all over the world merit a lot of praise for all the sacrifices they had to make to care, risking their lives to save that of their patients. They are the heroes of the century.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
Medical staff around the world deserve our huge thanks and praise for their efforts during the pandemic, as do many othere who have put themselves in harms way to help deal with the crisis.
