A collage of two more of the deckchairs on York's Giant Deck Chair Competition, and this time with a nature theme. Both of these were not too easy to find, due to the inaccuracy of the map provided in the leaflet, but fortunately I had looked at satelite view on Google Maps before setting off to make them easier to locate.
The one on the left is in St Anthony's Garden on Peasholme Green. I like the bright coloured bee theme. The artwork reminded me of the decoration on an empty shop front last year ( https://365project.org/fishers/365/2021-11-02 ).
The one on the right is in the grounds of Lady Anne Middleton's Hotel in Skeldergate. Both fit in well with the idea of the planters etc placed around the city centre, making it more attractive and encouraging bees.
Whoever has designed these has been very creative. Sadly the competition linked to them finishes on Sunday, so presumaby the deck chairs will then be removed.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and fav, they are very much appreciated.
I hope you have enjoyed the five deck chairs I have now shared. I'm afraid that if you want to see the other five you will need to look for them yourselves, before the competition closes on Sunday. Time to move on to two other events that I took shots of on the same day as my wander to find the deck chairs.
