A rather brighter day today, with the sun visible through a thin layer of cloud. By sunset time the sky had mackerel clouds. Here it can be seen through the branches of an almost bare silver birch tree.
Sunset time tonight was 15:50, and this shot was taken around 7 minutes after that. It's hard to believe that we are almost at the date when the earliest sunset time occurs - 14th December - and it occurs only 9 minutes earlier than sunset tonight did.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
We are very fortunate that at this time of year the sun sets immediately in front of our house. It makes it far more likely that I will take sunset photos, since in the summer the sun sets further to the north and I don't always see when a good sunset is happening.
Love the sunset colours
